Community Health Improvement Services

Community health improvement services are carried out to enhance community health, extending beyond traditional patient care. These services are subsidized by Barnabas Health.

Barnabas Health empowers individuals to take charge of their health by providing critical free health and wellness programs that are open to the community.

In 2013, Barnabas Health sponsored more than 500 health and wellness programs at a cost of more than $2.8 million. These programs include free disease screenings, fitness programs, as well as educational programs designed to help people research and select a health insurance plan. By helping New Jersey residents take a proactive step in taking care of their well-being, Barnabas Health is helping to improve the health and wellness of individuals and communities across the state today and for years to come.
