The Saint Barnabas Imaging Center, located at the Barnabas Health Ambulatory
Care Center has been chosen as the first and only site in the country
to debut the latest generation in MRI systems: the Ingenia 1.5 Wide Bore
Digital MRI system from Philips Healthcare.
Ingenia, the first-ever digital broadband MRI solution, delivers enhanced
clinical versatility and improved patient comfort in one system. The Ingenia
system introduces, for the first time in MRI, digital signal acquisition
and processing directly in the RF receive coil nearest to the patient.
This digital signal acquisition and processing facilitates the delivery
of crisp image clarity to help clinicians make informed decisions for
a wide range of clinical procedures, including traditional applications
like neuro and musculoskeletal and fast-growing applications like body
and cardiac. Its speed minimizes patient exam time and patient repositioning.
It truly is designed with the patient in mind. The wide bore provides
more space for larger patients and reduces anxiety.
