Sheri K Sheri Knowlton's Patient Story

"I delivered a healthy baby girl during a blizzard last February after many hours of labor. The efforts of the outstanding medical and nursing team eased my mind both before and then through this long, difficult birth. They helped lessen my stress so my husband and I could focus on what was important – the joy of Holly’s arrival."

As a first time mom, with life threatening allergies and asthma, I was extremely nervous about entrusting my health to just anyone. Looking back, I feel very fortunate that I found the compassionate, highly skilled, team at Community Medical Center.

Being very sensitive to my extensive food allergies, the hospital began preparations for my arrival weeks before my due date. Since I needed assurance that my meals could be stored and protected to avoid a serious reaction the entire team at Community Medical Center went above and beyond to be proactive before my delivery.

Throughout my birth experience, I had a wonderful staff of professionals with me ensuring both mine and my daughter’s safety. That feeling is priceless.

Community Medical Center provided outstanding health care for me and my daughter. The nursing staff offered exceptional care and support, sharing their knowledge and expertise on parenting, infant care, breastfeeding, and the transition from hospital to home. Any time I had a question it was answered quickly and thoroughly. Just as important, they did not overwhelm us while we adjusted to being new parents.

Our daughter Holly is the reason we feel so strongly about supporting Community Medical Center, making sure the professionals who work there have the tools and technology they need to provide the best and safest birth experience for all families, the way they did for us.

It is not always easy to find genuine people that truly care about others. At Community Medical Center the staff takes the job of caring for patients seriously. Although we no longer live in Toms River, Community Medical Center is still our hospital. It exists to serve the community – our family, friends, and neighbors – and provide the highest quality, compassionate care.
