Center for Children with Special Needs

JCMC Children with special needs

Infants, children, adolescents and young adults up to the age of 21 with developmental disabilities are seen at the Center for Children with Special Needs. The approach is multidisciplinary, with centralized evaluation and case management. All children undergo a comprehensive evaluation including physical and neurodevelopmental examinations by a neurodevelopmental specialist and a psychosocial assessment by a social worker. The goal of the Center is to identify problems as early as possible and assist children in obtaining appropriate services so they may develop to their full potential. The caring staffs of the Center’s team are credentialed professionals in their fields of expertise. Referrals may be made and further information obtained by calling 201 204-0004 between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
