What is a patient portal?
A patient portal is a secure online website that gives patients convenient 24-hour access to personal health information from anywhere with an Internet connection. Using a secure username and password, patients can view health information such as lab results, medications, allergies, immunizations, discharge instructions, educational information, and other pertinent information. In addition, it is a Personal Health Record that allows patients to enter in their own personal health information.
How to sign up for the patient portal
To sign up, you must have been an inpatient or observation patient at Jersey City Medical Center with a photo ID and valid email address during the admission process. You will receive an invite to enroll where you will be granted access to your health information. We also offer the ability for you to enroll in the patient portal while you are at the hospital with the help of a hospital staff member. A staff member will verify your identity and assist you with the enrollment process.
