Criteria for Resident Graduation

  • Staffing Assignment – every other weekend
  • Completion of at least 1 major or 2 minor residency research projects
  • Submission of manuscript to a peer reviewed journal in June
  • Preparation of a Medication Use Evaluation
  • Provide, at a minimum, the following presentations:
    • 3 patient case presentations; 2 journal clubs; 2 noon conferences, 2 continuing education lectures to pharmacy staff, and 1 nursing education program
  • Participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics meetings
    • Prepare minutes for the meetings
    • Prepare 1 formulary class review
  • Attend/Observe the following committee meetings as a guest at least once
    • Investigational Review Board
    • Safety/Infection Control
    • Department Head Meeting
    • Code Committee
    • Corporate Directors
  • Maintain active involvement in ASHP and NJSHP (New Jersey Society of Health-System Pharmacists)
  • Attend at least 4 professional meetings (e.g. NJSHP CE meetings)
