Lung Cancer Center

Offering an Advanced Array of State-of-the-Art Services

With the establishment of the Lung Cancer Center at the Leon Hess Cancer Center, Monmouth Medical Center brings to Monmouth and Ocean counties a program dedicated to the early detection, diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer — the nation’s leading cancer killer.

The center offers this most advanced array of services in one centralized location, led by a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals who evaluate patients diagnosed with lung cancer and those with symptoms that may indicate they have the disease.

Lung Cancer Evaluation

Patients with symptoms that are causing them concern are encouraged to undergo an evaluation at the Lung Cancer Center — whether it is self-directed, through a physician referral or for a second opinion.

As a division of the Leon Hess Cancer Center at Monmouth, the center provides patients with the opportunity to participate in the latest National Cancer Institute-sponsored clinical trials of the most promising thoracic cancer treatments. These scientific research studies investigate better ways to prevent, diagnose or treat cancer.
