Emergency Department - Austin's Story
When faced with a medical emergency while at my workplace, Newark Beth
Israel Medical Center was there for me…
I was rushed to the
Emergency Department at The Beth after experiencing sudden, severe pain. I thought I was having a heart attack.
A co-worker called 911 and an ambulance quickly transported me to Newark
Beth’s Emergency Department. Through my 12 year career at NJPAC,
I have gotten to know some members of the staff at Newark Beth Israel.
The hospital has an outstanding reputation and I knew it was where I needed to be.
My experience at Newark Beth was a very positive one. The hospital staff
took immediate action when I arrived, assessing my condition, starting
tests and ultimately determining that my gallbladder needed to be removed
surgically. Once the decision to have surgery was made, things moved quickly.
Just hours after my procedure, I was home recuperating.
I spent two days at Newark Beth. The entire team was impeccable. Everyone
was willing to take time to listen to my questions and concerns even when
they were very busy. I was so impressed I have decided to continue seeing
my doctor and the nutritionist on staff.
Like so many, I spend a good deal of time at my job. I am glad Newark Beth
is close by, serving as the cornerstone to a healthy business community.
