The Nursing Center for Professional Development provides the professional nurse not only with guidance, but with a centralized
resource of learning opportunities to assist in their development and
enhancement of professional practice, as well as career goal achievement.
The Center offers the opportunity to discover and learn about Continuing/In-service
Education programming, Nursing Research, Professional Advancement programming,
Orientation and Precepting, Academic Education, and three Nurse Academies,
with programming specifically designed for the Nurse Manager, Nurse Leaders,
and Nurse Educators.
Nursing research conducted at our affiliate health care centers continues
to improve the care and treatment of our patients. Projects conducted
by our nurses have been published in national nursing journals. The depth
of experience of our team of nurses is highly regarded and shared throughout
the system via regular system-wide nursing conferences/ meetings. In addition,
our nurses communicate regularly through a system-wide newsletter written
exclusively by and for the nursing staff. A unique and comprehensive recruitment
