Sleep Disorders

Our fully accredited Sleep Centers evaluate a wide range of disorders, including sleep apnea, snoring, insomnia, narcolepsy, sleep-wake schedule disorders, and male impotency. We also understand that everyone's sleeping problems are not the same. As a result, the staff at our Sleep Centers is trained to address each unique patient situation and provide the must customized care possible. This individualized treatment approach for each patient provides you with personalized attention and support towards achieving more stable and normal sleeping habits.

The first step in diagnosing a sleep disorder is to meet with one of our board-certified sleep physicians for an initial consultation, including a complete history and physical examination. If recommended, an overnight sleep study will be arranged during which small electrodes will be attached to the surface of your scalp, face and legs to record your sleep patterns. The monitoring and testing procedures are pain free and the devices themselves will not restrict you from moving around. While you sleep, computerized monitoring systems will record brain waves, muscle activity, respiration, and heart rhythms. Because it is a non-invasive procedure, no needles or catheters are used during the study. We provide detailed reporting of test results in order to help identify the disorder. Once that is determined, our specialists work with you and your physician to develop a care plan on how the disorder can be effectively managed.
