    Julie M. DiGioia, M.D., F.A.C.S.   Dr. Julie DiGioia is an experienced breast cancer surgeon with offices in Summit and Jersey City, New Jersey.  She is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Overlook Hospital and Jersey CIty Medical Center. Dr. DiGioia was born and raised in Jersey City and is a graduate of St. Peter's University.  Dr. DiGioia received her medical degree from Sapienza University of Rome and completed her residency at Jersey City Medical Center/UMDNJ.  She practiced general and trauma surgery until 1990 and then concentrated her practice to the care of the breast and breast surgery. Dr. DiGioia is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Rutgers University RWJ/BH. She is Board Certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery with a practice now limited to diseases of the breast. Dr. Julie herself is a breast cancer survivor.  She served as the Medical Director of the Cristie Kerr Women's Health Center, is an advisor to the American Cancer Foundation, and was Chair of the 2017 Susan B. Komen NJ Race for the Cure.  "As a breast cancer survivor, I understand the concerns of my patients and their family".
