Dr. Elfenbein is Board Certified, and a Distinguished Life Fellow of the
American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He practices child,
adolescent, and young adult psychiatry.
He is a consultant for Autism New Jersey, Concerned Persons for Adoption,
Asperger Syndrome Education Network, and NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome
and Associated Disorders.
Dr. Elfenbein provides the following services: diagnostic evaluation, parent
counseling, behavior management, family and individual therapy and counseling,
medication, forensic expert services, school child study team evaluations,
and professional sports player evaluations and treatment. The following
problems are managed: behavioral, emotional and school problems, parent-child
conflict, ADD/ADHD, mood disorders, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder,
autism spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders including PTSD and obsessive-compulsive
disorder, eating disorders, psychosomatic/somatoform disorders, oppositional
defiant disorder, neurodevelopmental disorders, LGBTQ issues, personality
disorders, developmental delays, and bereavement.
