    Dr. Kimmerle A. Pawar is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Prior to joining the staff at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, she completed a four-year residency at New York University Medical Center. As an adjunct to her rigorous program, she sought additional training in Emergency Ultrasound.

    Dr. Pawar has earned two Ivy league degrees, her B.A from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004 (Magna Cum Laude), and her Masters in Public Health from Dartmouth College in 2005. While studying at Dartmouth, she earned a prestigious Citation in Health Policy, stemming from her interest in community health and for her stewardship at the New Hampshire State House.

    Following her undergraduate and post-graduate studies, Dr. Pawar earned her M.D. from New Jersey Medical School (UMDNJ) in 2009. Prior to graduation, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society.

    Academic interests include Complementary & Alternative Medicine (her research focus at UPENN) and health policy. Publications include entries in Radiology Today magazine, as well as in the peer-reviewed journal Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology.
