    Physician Information

    Dr. Lauren Schwartz is a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon who has expertise in both adult and pediatric neurosurgery. She has subspecialty interest in the surgical treatment of pediatric brain tumors and spinal tumors, craniofacial disorders like craniosynostosis and plagiocephlay, aneurysms, AVMS, and cavernous malformations in children, hydrocephalus, spina-bifida and tethered cord, epilepsy, Chiari Malformation, and any neurosurgical disease of childhood. Dr. Schwartz has extensive experience in brain and spinal cord trauma in both adults and children. She also offers prenatal counseling to expecting parents who are pregnant with a child found to have neurologic disease. Dr. Schwartz also has a special interest in treating adults with brain tumors, aneurysms, and spine disease. She participates with many oncologists and breast surgeons in the specific evaluation and treatment of women with breast cancer metastasis to the brain and spine, using the latest techniques including minimally invasive surgery and stereotactic guidance to make the smallest incisions and get the best surgical and cosmetic results.
