    Yu-Lan Mary Ying, MD brings extensive training and experience to the Ear, Nose, and Throat team at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, specializing in Otology/Neurotology, a subspecialty of Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat) that focuses on the ear and inner ear, including all hearing and balance disorders, facial nerve disorders, and skull base/temporal bone tumors.

    Dr. Ying is currently on faculty in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark. She is a graduate of SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine, and completed Otolaryngology residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She then completed two fellowships in Otology and Neurotology at Allegheny General Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine, respectively, and practiced and was on faculty at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. 

    Dr. Ying is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Neurotology Society. She is board certified in Otolaryngology and Neurotology. She is the author of multiple journal articles, book chapters, and has presented at national conferences. She is fluent in both English and Chinese Mandarin. 

    Dr. Ying treats both adults and children, including newborns, who have failed a newborn hearing screening test. She has expertise in caring for and treating patients who are hard of hearing or those who experience chronic dizziness. Dr. Ying enjoys being able to restore and improve the quality of her patients’ lives through their hearing and balance functions.
