Osteoporosis, a disease of the skeletal system characterized by low bone mass and deterioration of bone tissue, leads to increased risk of bone fractures. Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) presents "Project Healthy Bones" - an exercise and education class - throughout the month of October at the Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center.
Designed for men and women who have or are at risk of osteoporosis, the class will educate participants about osteoporosis and how to safely remain physically active. The program will be held on Mondays, October 13, 20 and 27; Wednesdays, October 15, 22 and 29 and Fridays, October 10, 17, 24 and 31.
