Walk to Support Heart Failure and Transplant Patients Scheduled in Verona Park

Essex County, NJ -- On Saturday, September 24, community members are invited to join Barnabas Health Heart Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBIMC), an RWJBarnabas Health facility, in Verona Park for its 14th annual Heart & Sole Walk to benefit heart failure and transplant patients. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the walk steps off at 11 a.m. The event has raised more than $300,000 to benefit the Heart Failure Treatment and Transplant Program at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.

In addition to a 4k walk along the trail at scenic Verona Park, activities will include entertainment, food and prizes. Individuals, families and teams are encouraged to join in the event.
