Annual Hospice Luncheon to Feature “GPS Girl,” one of People Magazine’s Most Intriguing People

New Jersey -- The Friends of Hospice will host their annual luncheon, to benefit patients and families served by Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center, on Thursday, April 18 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at Mayfair Farms in West Orange. The event format includes boutique shopping, a luncheon and raffle drawings. Karen Jacobsen, The GPS Girl®, is the featured speaker.

Ms. Jacobsen, known throughout the world as “Australian Karen,” is the voice in more than 25 million Garmin GPS units. She has appeared on ABC World News Tonight, the CBS Early Show and in the New York Times and Glamour magazine, and was named one of People magazine’s “Most Intriguing People” in 2010. Ms. Jacobsen’s inspirational message focuses on “recalculating” one’s direction throughout the challenges and obstacles that occur in life.
