West Orange, NJ -- Beginning Monday, January 6, Barnabas Health Hospice will host a free six-week gentle yoga program for those experiencing grief after the loss of a loved one. Sessions will be held on Mondays, from 6 – 7 p.m., at Barnabas Health, located at 95 Old Short Hills Road in West Orange.
Instructor Premajyothi Devi, LAC, a yoga and meditation instructor for more than 15 years and the Bereavement Coordinator and Grief Counselor for Barnabas Health Hospice, will lead participants through a gentle yoga program focused on helping the bereaved release stress and grief. Classes will include gentle stretches, deep relaxation, breathing practices and brief meditation.
Participants are asked to wear comfortable, loose clothing, avoiding eating two hours before class and to bring a large towel. Blankets and chairs will be provided. To register or for more information, please contact Ms. Devi at 973-322-4817 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
