Grieving is a process that has no time table. Each of us mourns differently and at different rates. It is important to be aware of how grieving is impacting your daily life. At some point it may be helpful to seek bereavement counseling for assistance.
As part of its commitment to provide exceptional health care services to the community, Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center offers general drop-in bereavement groups in Essex and Monmouth Counties. Facilitated by experienced, licensed clinicians, the groups provide a safe environment to share feelings and gain support as you navigate this difficult time and adjust to loss.
Programs will be offered as follows. Registration required by calling 973-322-4817 (Essex County) or 732-923-6215 (Monmouth County).
- Barnabas Health Hospice, West Orange; Wednesdays, 10 to 11 a.m.
- Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch; Thursdays, 3 to 4 p.m.
- Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark; Tuesdays, 3 to 4 p.m.
