West Orange, NJ – Just in time for opening day, Barnabas Health today announced its first-ever partnership with the Yankees Radio Network, the official radio home of the New York Yankees. Heard on flagship station WCBS Newsradio 880, the station features every pitch, every run and every game throughout the season.
The multifaceted 2013 partnership offers broadcast and digital media content, with a focus on healthy living and community initiatives. As part of the partnership with the Yankees Radio Network, Barnabas Health will serve as Presenting Sponsor of the Hudson River Crossings Report, which can be heard prior to every home game during the pre-game show. Barnabas Health will also sponsor “The Health Minute” – a 60-second feature that airs during games throughout the season on Saturdays and focuses on critical health topics. The first Health Minute will air in April and focus on heart-health.
“Barnabas Health is proud to join forces with the Yankees Radio Network and tie our brand to the 27-time World Series champion New York Yankees,” said Barry H. Ostrowsky, President and Chief Executive Officer, Barnabas Health. “Partnering with the widely popular and renowned Yankees Radio Network provides us with an effective way of fostering healthy living with adults and children throughout communities we serve.”
Barnabas Health commercials will also air on WCBS Newsradio 880 during morning and afternoon drive times, as well as on WCBS-FM 101.1. A digital media campaign will be prominently featured on CBSNewYork.com.
Sound bites and radio spots read by John Sterling, the “Voice of the Yankees” and one of the most recognized – and impersonated – voices in all of New York sports, are available on the Barnabas Health website. The partnership will also feature a unique community initiative through CBS-owned EcoMedia, to be announced at a later date.
“The Yankees Radio Network is proud to partner with Barnabas Health on this new initiative, as this world-class healthcare organization serves our listeners by offering unparalleled services and healthcare in their hospitals and facilities,” said TJ Barry, Director of Sports Sales, Yankees Radio Network.
