Barnabas Health and Visiting Nurse Association Health Group Solidify Partnership

New Jersey – On January 1, 2016, Barnabas Health and the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) Health Group solidified their proposed partnership called VNA Health Group of New Jersey, LLC, created with the goal of improving the quality and efficiency of post-acute care, home care and hospice in the communities they serve. The partnership, which positions both organizations to meet emerging health system challenges, is a mission-driven non-profit.

Barnabas Health Home Care and Hospice has independently managed home health services in Essex, and Ocean Counties and hospice services in Essex, Hudson, Passaic, Morris, Monmouth and Ocean counties. VNA Health Group has independently operated home health services through the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey (VNACJ) in Burlington, Monmouth, Middlesex, Essex, and parts of Hudson County and provided hospice services in Monmouth, Middlesex, Burlington and Ocean Counties. The partnership will align the two organizations’ services in these areas. VNA Health Group will continue to independently manage Robert Wood Johnson Visiting Nurses, Englewood Visiting Nurse Association, Cape Visiting Nurse Association and other Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey programs and services, which extends its home care, hospice and visiting physician services in Bergen, Gloucester, Mercer, Middlesex, Somerset and Union Counties.
