Each year, patients and their families are invited to write about the things that make their doctors extraordinary – from showing compassion, offering a second opinion, or patiently taking the time to explain medical procedures.
Last year, a patient named Irma wrote about her doctor, Donald Beggs, M.D., an infectious disease specialist. She said, “He was on top of everything when it came to my infection and made me feel that he wasn’t going to stop until everything was back to normal.”
Antonio and Maria wrote about Craig Gialanella, M.D., an internist, who treated their parents, “Dr. Gialanella takes his time and explains everything to them. He goes above and beyond all the time and has been available to my parents whenever they needed him.”
This year patients and their families are again invited to share their personal stories about what makes their doctor great as part of the “Dear Doctor” program, sponsored by Clara Maass Medical Center (CMMC) Foundation.
Letters about Clara Maass doctors will be accepted until Friday, March 29, 2013, through e-mail or postal service. Selected letters will be displayed in the upper lobby of the Medical Center and at a special event honoring the CMMC doctors.
Letters should include the sender’s name, phone number and address so that person can be contacted.
To send a letter, email: firstname.lastname@example.org or mail to:
