Nutrition Support Group Focuses on Increasing Physical Activity


BELLEVILLE, N.J –Exercise and staying active regularly are key to living a healthier lifestyle. Physical activity helps control weight, strengthen muscles and bones, improve mental health and mood, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and much more.

Clara Maass Medical Center’s Nutrition Support Group will discuss the importance of increasing physical activity on Thursday, August 4, from 6 to 7 p.m. in The Cancer Center. The session will be hosted by a personal trainer and a dietitian, who will discuss low impact exercises and share tips on how to make the most of your workout. This group meets regularly the first Thursday of every month, covering a wide range of healthy topics. Healthy refreshments are served at every meeting, and registration is not required. Shop Rite will give a door prize for the individual who brings the most guests to the August session. For more information call 973-450-2328.
