BELLEVILLE, N.J –Exercise and staying active regularly are key to living a healthier
lifestyle. Physical activity helps control weight, strengthen muscles
and bones, improve mental health and mood, reduce the risk of cardiovascular
disease and much more.
Clara Maass Medical Center’s Nutrition Support Group will discuss
the importance of increasing physical activity on Thursday, August 4,
from 6 to 7 p.m. in The Cancer Center. The session will be hosted by a
personal trainer and a dietitian, who will discuss low impact exercises
and share tips on how to make the most of your workout. This group meets
regularly the first Thursday of every month, covering a wide range of
healthy topics. Healthy refreshments are served at every meeting, and
registration is not required. Shop Rite will give a door prize for the
individual who brings the most guests to the August session. For more
