Komen North Jersey Celebrates RWJBarnabas Health

A special reception was held on July 19 to celebrate people who made this year’s Susan G. Komen North Jersey Race for the Cure a success and announce its 2017-2018 grantees. Those receiving awards were top fundraisers, top fundraising teams and sponsors – including RWJBarnabas Health in its 10th year as the Race for the Cure Local Survivor Sponsor. Lead volunteers were also presented awards including four co-chairs from RWJBarnabas Health: Julie DiGioia, MD, breast surgeon, Hall DiGioia Surgical Associates; Mary Ellen Clyne, PhD, President and Chief Executive Officer, Clara Maass Medical Center; Joseph F. Scott, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer, Jersey City Medical Center; and Rachelle Leong, MD, breast surgeon with Barnabas Health Medical Group and CMMC. Grantees for 2017-2018 include Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Somerset Health Care Foundation.
