Clear the Air: A Discussion on Lung Cancer Prevention and Treatment Strategies

Free education program offered by the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center at Community Medical Center

October 21, 2013, Toms River, NJ – The J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center at Community Medical Center will offer a free program, “Clear the Air: a discussion on lung cancer prevention and treatment strategies” on Wednesday, November 13 from 5 to 7 pm at the Clarion Hotel, 815 Route 37 West, Toms River. Pre-registration is requested by calling 1.888.724.7123.

The program includes presentations by Dr. James McCaughan, thoracic surgeon, who will discuss prevention of lung cancer and surgical treatment options, and Dr. David D’Ambrosio, radiation oncologist, who will speak on the use of radiation oncology and the CyberKnife for lung cancer patients. In addition, a panel of multi-disciplinary experts will be available for questions and answers. Participants will also be able to participate in lung volume capacity testing.

A light dinner will be served, and guests will have a chance to win door prizes.
