Community Medical Center Invites You to ‘Get Your Red On’ to Raise Awareness about Heart Disease in Women

January, 31, 2013, TOMS RIVER, NJ – Community Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, will present “Get Your Red On,” a special program to raise awareness about heart disease in women, on Thursday, February 28. The free event will be held at the Holiday Inn, located at 151 Route 72, Manahawkin from 5:30 – 8 p.m.

This is a special evening for women about creating a heart healthy lifestyle. Board Certified cardiologist, Joseph Guarino, MD, will present an educational lecture on heart disease prevention, detection and treatment. In addition, exercise physiologist Diana Toto will help you learn how to begin and stick to an exercise program. She will also discuss easy ways to exercise at home without having to go to a gym or purchase equipment.

Free blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol screenings will be available. All participants are asked to wear something red to the event.

Drawings for great prizes including show tickets, restaurant gift certificates, and more will be offered. Food, refreshments and free giveaways will also be provided.
