Community Medical Center celebrates Women's Health Week
with free screenings, physician lectures and a health fair
TOMS RIVER, NJ (April 18, 2014) – In celebration of Women's Health Week, Community Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, will host "Your Passport to Good Health" on Wednesday, May 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel in Toms River. The free event is designed to educate women of all ages about maintaining good health throughout their lives.
Attendees will learn about the latest guidelines in women's health, including up-to-date information on diagnosis and treatment options for breast cancer, as well as information on healthy food choices that can aid in the quest for cancer prevention.
Guests will hear lectures by Community Medical Center's expert physicians Maria Bonvicino, MD, FACOG, a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist, and
Sumy Chang, MD, FACS, a fellowship-trained breast surgeon and board-certified general surgeon, from 6 to 7 p.m. Women can take advantage of free screenings and a health fair from 5 to 5:45 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. All who attend are eligible to win a Coach bag.
