TOMS RIVER, NJ, April 20, 2015 – Community Medical Center will sponsor a special program called "A Time for Us" designed for mothers and their adolescent daughters to come together to listen and discuss important health topics in a relaxed and non-threatening environment.
This FREE dinner program will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 6 to 8 p.m. at Kristy's Casual Dining, 562 Route 9, Waretown, NJ. Dinner will be provided and seating is limited.
Speakers at the event include physicians and health professionals who will cover a variety of topics. Wilhelmina Azu, DO, OB/GYN, will provide an update on the HPV virus and vaccine; Karen Carola, RN, MSN, CNM, certified nurse midwife, will discuss what to expect at your first GYN exam and an update on screening guidelines; Kathe Sadler-Wright, MSN, RN-C, will cover breast health for all ages; and Patricia Hanna, LSW, and Kim Bradle, BA, RYT will lead a discussion on developing strong relationships between mothers and daughters.
