Community Medical Center Hosts "Life is a Balancing Act" Focusing on Women's Health
Community Medical Center celebrates Women's Health Week
with free screenings, physician lectures and a health fair
TOMS RIVER, NJ (April 22, 2015) – In celebration of Women's Health Week, Community Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, will host "Life is a Balancing Act" on Wednesday, May 13 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel in Toms River. The free event is designed to educate women of all ages about maintaining good health throughout their lives.
Guests will hear lectures by two of Community Medical Center's expert physicians Henry Moyle, MD, Board-certified neurosurgeon and Robert Closkey, MD, Board-certified orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Moyle will discuss how to keep the brain healthy, what you can do to help prevent a stroke and the latest treatment options for people who experience a stroke. Dr. Closkey will review how to maintain good joint health in order to live life to its fullest. He will also provide an update on the latest minimally invasive joint replacement procedures and techniques.
National Women's Health Week is an observance led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women's Health. The goal is to empower women to make their health a priority. The week also serves as a time to help women understand what steps they can take to improve their health.
Guests who attend the program can take advantage of free screenings, including a balance screening, a health fair and have the chance to win a Coach bag.
