Jersey City Medical Center EMS Receives Official Notification of CAAS Re-Accreditation With No Deficiencies



The Commission on the Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) is an national association providing Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies standardization to increase organizational performance and efficiency, increase clinical quality, safety and decrease risks. The Jersey City Medical Center EMS received official notification this week stating Jersey City Medical Center was reaccredited with no deficiencies noted. Here Joseph F. Scott, FACHE - President and CEO of the Jersey City Medical Center, RWJBarnabas Health and Phil Borker, Vice President of the Hospital present the certification to Robert Luckritz and his EMS leadership team. The letter also recognized the Jersey City Medical Center EMS for its outreach, education and community service. The JCMC EMS was the first EMS agency in the country to receive accreditation from CAAS and four other national accreditation agencies.
