HIGHLANDS, NJ, March 26, 2013 — Monmouth Medical Center recently joined the Highlands Business Partnership to salute Emergency Medical Services workers during the town’s St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Monmouth joined nearly 100 marching units for Highlands’ 11th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 23. The 2013 parade was dedicated to the first responders in appreciation of their heroic efforts during Hurricane Sandy.
Monmouth Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, is dedicated to communicating the message that EMS is a vital public service, according to its president and chief executive officer Frank J. Vozos, M.D., FACS. “During Hurricane Sandy and the days and weeks following, we all witnessed the tremendous work accomplished by emergency response professionals,” Dr. Vozos said. “Yet we in the medical community see the quiet, often unnoticed heroism that takes place every day in our community. That is why Monmouth Medical Center was proud to join with Highlands Business Partnership in saluting our first responders.”
