Once Again Thrift Boutique Closing February 28

02/12/2013

LONG BRANCH, NJ - In an effort to streamline its resources, the Monmouth Medical Center Foundation has announced the closing of Once Again Thrift Boutique of Eatontown on February 28, 2013. Now, until the closing date, the Thrift Boutique, located at 152 Main St. (Route 35 South), is offering discounted pricing for all of its merchandise and displays.

“We appreciate the generous support from the community and local businesses over the past five years who helped fulfill the Foundation’s mission of providing financial support to Monmouth Medical Center,” said Phil Villapiano, Manager of Retail Operations for the Foundation. The closing of the Boutique will also mean the end of the "Chic Boutique" fashion show, an annual event which raised funds for both the operation of the store, as well as the MMC Foundation.

"We're pleased that the Thrift Boutique volunteers have been invited to join the Volunteer Services Program at Monmouth, and that the staff will be continuing their employment by joining the retail operations at the Monmouth Medical Center Gift Shop," said Villapiano. "We are very excited to bring the retail experience of the Thrift Store staff over to the Gift Shop. This consolidation will not only keep these deserving employees at work, but will also bring fresh concepts to the Shop's operation."
