One Mission, One Team: EMS Teams Make a Crucial Difference in Our Community

05/17/2013

May 19 – 25 Recognized as Emergency Medical Services Week

The members of emergency medical services teams are ready to provide lifesaving care to those in need 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Monmouth Medical Center salutes EMS as a vital part of every community and is proud to join the American College of Emergency Physicians in marking Emergency Medical Services Week, May 19 to 25, with a resounding thank you to those at the frontline of emergency care.

National EMS Week provides an opportunity to honor EMS personnel by celebrating “One Mission, One Team.” As we know the access to quality emergency care dramatically improves the survival and recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or injury. Monmouth Medical Center’s Emergency Department, which is led by Victor Almeida, M.D., and Deborah Cioffi, R.N., M.S.A., M.S.N., has made a commitment to enhancing every facet of emergency services.

Monmouth Medical Center honors the contributions of EMS providers, our partners in care, and takes this opportunity to stress the importance of strong public support for the well-trained professionals who comprise the EMS system.

Together MMC and EMS have one mission, and we are one team that provides excellence in emergency services to all in the community we serve. These important services ensure continuity of care and provide comfort in the knowledge that for our community we are always there.
