Monmouth County Assemblywomen Caroline Casagrande and Mary Pat Angelini honored two local women for their contributions in the field of life sciences. Sandy Gould of Tinton Falls and Dr. Margaret Fisher of Monmouth Medical Center were each presented with resolutions on the floor of the General Assembly.
Each March the General Assembly celebrates Women’s History Month by recognizing and honoring the women who have helped shape our lives. Because of a high concentration of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device companies and research hospitals, New Jersey is a world leader in the life science field. Fifteen women were recognized in total.
