Monmouth Medical Center Pathologists' Assistant, James Moore, MHS, PA (ASCP)CM, was recently elected to a four-year term as the American Association of Pathologists' Assistants (AAPA) Representative on the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) Board of Directors.
NAACLS is the premier international agency for both accreditation and approval for educational programs in the clinical laboratory sciences and related health professions. The Board of Directors functions as the governing unit of NAACLS where it grants the final accreditation and approval of awards, and formulates policy.
In addition to his position at Monmouth Medical Center, Moore also serves as co-director of the Pathologists' Assistant program (PathA) at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He earned his bachelor of arts degree in biology from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, PA. and his master of health science degree as a pathologists' assistant from Quinnipiac University in Haven, CT. He currently holds certifications as a pathologists' assistant from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification.
