Nearly 200 women took a proactive stance to better health by attending the recent 7th annual
"Ladies Night Out" event hosted by The Jacqueline M. Wilentz Comprehensive Breast Center at Monmouth Medical Center.
Held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Tinton Falls, the free event featured the most vital women's health issues and technological advances. Attendees gained valuable insight from Monmouth Medical Center physician lectures including: Breast Cancer Imaging Updates" by radiologist and breast imager Cynthia Barone, D.O.; "Bone Health and Joint Replacement," by orthopedic surgeon and Medical Director of The Joint Replacement Center at Monmouth Medical Center David Chalnick, M.D.;
"GI Health Screenings" by gastroenterologist Shamina Dhillon, M.D.; and
"Lung Cancer Screening Update" by pulmonologist Sharon M. Weiner, M.D. Robert Graebe M.D., chairman and program director of obstetrics and gynecology, moderated the event and presented "Gynecologic Surgery."
Ladies Night Out featured a variety of health screenings for blood pressure and Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), cholesterol, breast health and cardiac risk assessments, as well as other information on Monmouth Medical Center programs, including weight-loss and vascular surgery, cancer services, geriatrics, behavioral health, sleep center, Chinese and Russian Medical Programs, gastroenterology, pain management, pulmonology, bone density and Makoplasty Partial Knee and Total Hip Replacement.
