The Cancer Support Community at Monmouth Medical Center Presents Look Good, Feel Better

Long Branch, N.J. – “Look Good, Feel Better” is a national public service program for female cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Dedicated to improving self-esteem and quality of life for female cancer patients, the program – presented by the Cancer Support Community at Monmouth Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility – will be held on Monday, May 1 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Cancer Support Community in Long Branch.

This program helps improve the self-image and appearance of female cancer patients by providing hands-on beauty techniques to manage the appearance-related side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Patients will learn to cope with the side effects of treatment and feel comfortable with changes in their appearance by receiving a personal makeover by a cosmetology professional.

“Look Good, Feel Better” will take place at the Cancer Support Community, located at 300 2nd Ave., Suite ST-007 of the Maysie-Stroock Pavilion in Long Branch. Registration is required by calling the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345.
