Learn about the importance of taking control of your health
LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Ocean County has the highest number of people age 65 and older in the state, each with a unique healthcare need. In a continuing effort to arm seniors with health-related programs and information to help them lead healthy lifestyles, the Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center will host an informational breakfast on October 2 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. entitled “Dietary Supplements ... Multivitamins and Beyond.”
Participants will enjoy a light breakfast as Sara Ali, MD, a board-certified geriatrician and the medical director of geriatrics at Kimball, reviews and discusses the top 10 dietary supplements and common misconceptions regarding the need for supplements. Dr. Ali will also present information on the recommended supplements for seniors – and what can potentially cause harm.
The free event is open to seniors and will be held at Kimball’s Center for Healthy Aging, located at 500 River Avenue, Ste. 200 in Lakewood. Space is limited, and registration is required by calling Kelly DeLeon at 732-597-6075.
