LAKEWOOD, N.J. –Stress not only affects the mind, but it can have negative impacts on health, too. In fact, stress is often referred to as the “silent killer” because it has been linked to serious health problems, including heart disease, stroke and more.
The Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, will host a free Stress and Relaxation Lunch and Learn on Monday, June 17 from noon to 2 p.m. Guests will enjoy lunch while health coaches provide information and tips on managing stress in healthy ways.
This free event, open to those over age 65, will be held at the Center for Healthy Living, located at 198 Prospect Street in Lakewood. Pre-registration is required by June 12 by calling health coaches Peggy Lomerson at 732-575-0452 or Kelly DeLeon at 732-597-6075.
