Classic and Gentle Yoga for All Ages
Fridays, August 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30
Classic: from 9 to 10:15 a.m.
Gentle: from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.
Men and women of all ages can enjoy the benefits of increased flexibility, range of motion, energy and relaxation by participating in Friday morning classic or gentle yoga. Gentle enough for beginners and seasoned practitioners, classic yoga includes the sun salutation warrior pose and shoulder stand, and gentle yoga includes the full range of basic yoga stretches and positions. Offered by Kimball Medical Center, the classes are held at the Center for Healthy Living, located at 198 Prospect Street in Lakewood. Cost is $5 per class, and space is limited. Free Weight-Loss Surgery Lecture
Thursday, August 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Learn the benefits of gastric bypass and gastric band surgeries directly from the experts – Michael Bilof, MD and Basil Yurcisin, MD, both of the Center of Excellence Bariatrics Program. Offered by Kimball Medical Center, this free lecture will be held at the Center for Healthy Living, located at 198 Prospect Street in Lakewood. Register by calling 1.888.724.7123.

Diabetes Self-Management Education
Tuesdays, August 6, 20 and 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
More than 25.8 million people in the U.S. have diabetes. Learn how to manage your diabetes with this program, taught by registered nurses and registered dietitians – all certified diabetes educators. Offered by Kimball Medical Center, this program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association and held at the Center for Healthy Living, located at 198 Prospect Street in Lakewood. Registration is required by calling 1.888.724.7123. Program attendees will need a doctor’s prescription and will be billed to Medicare or your insurance carrier.
