Talking With Your Doctor
Monday, August 3 from 2 to 4 p.m.
As we grow older, it is important to talk often and comfortably with your physician. As the patient, you are the center of your health care team. During this informative program, health coaches from the Center for Healthy Aging will explore what facts should go into the decision making process when choosing general practitioners and specialists, as well as how to prepare for an appointment, break down any information you receive at an appointment and discuss sensitive subjects. This program takes place at the Ocean County Library's Manchester Township Branch Meeting Room located at 21 Colonial Drive in Manchester. Joint Replacement Lecture

Do you have hip or knee pain? This free program for those considering hip or knee replacement surgery offers the latest information on hip and knee replacements including robotic-assisted partial knee and total hip replacement. Learn what to expect before and after surgery, how to prepare yourself to achieve the best possible outcome and receive an overview of The Joint Replacement Center program. This program, for Jackson Township seniors only, will take place at the Jackson Township Senior Center located at 45 Don Connor Blvd in Jackson. Look Good, Feel Better
Monday, August 17 from 1 to 3 p.m.

This is a special program sponsored by the American Cancer Society for female cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Learn to cope with the side effects of treatment and feel comfortable with changes in your appearance by receiving a personal makeover by cosmetology professionals. This program will be held at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus' Center for Healthy Living, located at 198 Prospect Street in Lakewood.
