Center for Healthy Aging at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus Presents 'Now Hear This: Age-Related Hearing Loss'

According to the National Institutes of Health, approximately one in three adults between the ages of 60 and 74 experience some kind of hearing loss, and nearly half of those over the age of 75 experience difficulty hearing.

Join the Center for Healthy Aging and the Department of Audiology at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus at the Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center on Wednesday, April 22 as they team-up to present “Now Hear This: Age-Related Hearing Loss” – a program designed to teach participants about age-related hearing loss.

Participants will enjoy light refreshments while Sue Ellen Boyer, MD, FAA, a clinical audiologist at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, discusses age-related hearing loss and shares facts about hearing aids. Dr. Boyer will also explore the common signs of hearing loss and tips for prevention. Following her presentation, participants will have the opportunity to take a Hearing Health Quiz at no cost.

This free program will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, April 22 at the Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center, located at 331 Georgia Tavern Road in Howell. Registration is required. Participants can register by calling 732-842-4000.
