According to the Centers for Disease control and Prevention, motor vehicle
crashes are a leading cause of injury and death in the U.S. In an effort
to change this statistic, Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus presents
Drive Defensively on Monday, February 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This national Safety Council refresher course is perfect for drivers of
all ages who need to sharpen their driving skills. Completing this approved
workshop eliminates two points from your New Jersey driver’s record.
Cost for the basic defensive driving course is $8, payable by check or
money order to County of Ocean and an additional $10 money order made
payable to the National Safety Council.
Presented by the Ocean County Department of Safety, the course will be
held at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus’ Center for Healthy
Living, located at 198 Prospect Street in Lakewood. Space is limited,
