Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus Hosts Annual Humanitarian Gala

06/28/2017

Lakewood, N.J. - More than 300 guests took a trip to Oz at the recent Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus (MMCSC) Annual Humanitarian Gala, which featured a Wizard of Oz theme. Held at Eagle Oaks Country Club in Farmingdale, the event provided an evening of emerald green dresses and red shoes with appearances by Dorothy, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and Scarecrow all while attendees enjoyed dinner, drinks and dancing for a good cause.

The 300 guests in attendance helped to raise funds that benefit Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus’ and the programs and services it provides to local community. Those in attendance enjoyed an expansive silent auction with gifts ranging from a basket of wine to tickets to Hello, Dolly! on Broadway, custom cigars dipped in whiskey or honey by an on-site cigar roller, and a presentation by Lisa Anderson, host of WJRZ’s Jersey’s Greatest Hits.

At the gala, the MMCSC Foundation presented the 2017 Humanitarian Awards to Andrew Harrison, MD, and Charles Markowitz, MD, JD. Special recognition was also provided to community partner, Bikur Cholim.

“We congratulate this year’s Humanitarian Award recipients for their well-deserved recognition and their extraordinary contributions to our community,” said Denice Gaffney, Vice President of Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus Foundation. “We also thank all our attendees and donors for the continuous support that makes our gala a success year after year.”
