Benefits of Rehabilitation: Before, During and After Oncology Treatment
Lakewood, N.J. – The Cancer Support Community at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern
Campus (MMCSC) is hosting Benefits of Rehabilitation: Before, During and
After Oncology Treatment a presentation by
Charles Markowitz, M.D.
This program will delve into the benefits of oncology rehabilitation for
cancer patients and survivors in need. Whether you are newly diagnosed,
currently undergoing chemotherapy or long finished with treatment, this
program will help you navigate available resources to get you back to
living your best life and enjoying the daily activities that are most
important to you.
Dr. Markowitz is the Medical Director of Rehabilitation at Monmouth Medical
Center, Southern Campus. He oversees inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation
services, and provides care planning guidance for the geriatric inpatient
unit. He also played an integral role in developing the outpatient Oncology
Rehabilitation Program and the inpatient Mobility Program at MMCSC. Dr.
Markowitz previously served as Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
for MMCSC for 27 years.
This event will take place on Wednesday, July 26, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30
p.m. at the Cancer Support Community, located at 199 Prospect Street in
