U.S. News & World Report Ranks Barnabas Health Hospitals Among Best
in New Jersey and Metro Area
Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Recognized in Six Specialties:
Cancer, Cardiology and Heart Surgery, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Geriatrics,
Nephrology, Neurology and Neurosurgery
Clara Maass, Monmouth, Newark Beth Israel and Saint Barnabas Medical Centers
were recently named among the 2013-2014 Best Hospitals in the New Jersey
and Metro Area rankings released by U.S. News & World Report.

in New Jersey and the Metropolitan Area by U.S. News & World Report,”

In addition, Barnabas Health hospitals were also listed as high performing
in the New York Metropolitan area for Cancer, Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery,
Diabetes and Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and GI Surgery, Geriatrics,
Gynecology, Nephrology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, and Urology.
Nearly 5,000 hospitals were initially considered in these rankings, which
evaluate specialty as well as volume. Hospitals were ranked according
to reputation, mortality, patient safety and other areas, including nurse
