The Medical Library at Saint Barnabas Medical Center is pleased to offer community members free and confidential access to reliableConsumer Health information resources and services.
"As medical librarians, we are trained to find current and reliable information from high-quality websites, books, journals and other resources," explains Patricia Reusing, Director of the Medical Library at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. "We can find and provide current information in easily understandable language about health conditions, illnesses, procedures, tests, medications and wellness," she explains.
The Medical Library also has a unique collection of Consumer Health books which may be checked out by members of the community. In addition, the library features cookbooks for certain conditions such as celiac disease, diabetes and cancer, a collection of books for both adults and children on end-of-life, grief and resiliency, and contact information for local or national support groups for specific illnesses and conditions.

Community members are also welcome to stop by the library between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday (with the exception of holidays).
