Teddy Bears and Kids Visit Hospital

Livingston residents, 16-year-old twins Nahshon (left) and Jalon Robinson, who volunteered at this year's Teddy Bear Clinic held at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, are pictured with their sister Lola and 'Penny the Poodle". All three children were born at Saint Barnabas and the twins, born at 32-weeks, were cared for in the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Six-year-old Lola attends the Teddy Bear Clinic annually and brought "Penny the Poodle" in for a check-up because she had accidentally given her cat food instead of dog food.

Their mom Jennifer Robinson, said, "The Teddy Bear Clinic is a great way to expose Lola to the world of medicine."

At Saint Barnabas's annual Teddy Bear Clinic, held July 16, 2014, children and their "patients" visited a series of interactive, fun play stations designed to help children learn that they don't have to fear a trip to the hospital.
