Saint Barnabas Medical Center to Celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day – Sunday, September 17, 2017

06/21/2017

In recognition of the 30th Annual National Cancer Survivors Day, The Saint Barnabas Cancer Program invite their patients to a Celebration of Life Luncheon on Sunday, September 17, 2017. This special event celebrates the courage of cancer survivors, the fortitude of their health caregivers, and the support of their loved ones. The afternoon is hosted by The Saint Barnabas Cancer Program and will take place from 12:00 to 3:00 pm at Mayfair Farms, 481 Eagle Rock Avenue, West Orange, NJ 07052.

Join singer, songwriter and cancer survivor, Charlie Lustman, as he bring his musical message of hope to this year’s “Celebration of Life.” After recovering from a one in 400 million diagnosed Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in his upper jaw in 2007, Charlie wrote and produced a collection of songs chronicling his cancer journey. He now travels the world performing what he calls, The Musical HOPE Campaign! With his brightly painted custom “love guitar” and prosthetic replacement jaw, Charlie brings inspiration, motivation, education and hope through original songs that carry an empathetic lyric and melodies that have transformed the lives of those who have experienced his unique and powerful message.

Reservations will be accepted beginning August 1, 2017, until the event reaches capacity, by calling the Cancer Program registration line at 973-322-2671.
